Default Feeding Schedule?

I myself feed all my tanks every two days. I've heard that it is better to feed them small amounts several times a day but I have 12 hour work days with transit time so that isn't realistic. I can however give them three feedings on the weekend if that is preferable.

I know fish end up getting several small meals randomly in the wild and it is all of goal to imitate their natural environment as much as possible. I also know that the more you feed the more they excrete causing a higher demand for water changes and over all maintenance.

What is your schedule and also your opinion on feeding schedules? I say schedule and opinions because the two don't always coincide based due to our own schedules.

I too feed my fish whenever I have time. I don't see any negative consequences of doing so, and my fish seem pretty happy! Just a pinch here and there seems to keep them happy, active, and the water clean.

I'm able to feed my fish twice a day and do so. I make sure to feed them a small amount each time to avoid polluting the tank. I do like to vary what I feed them. I have one staple flake, one special, 4 different types of frozen foods, and then additional foods for the bottom feeders. I vary the foods on a somewhat random schedule depending on whether I have time to do the frozen or just enough time to toss in the flakes. I do try to stay around for about a minute after feeding each tank to make sure everyone is eating and there are no signs of problems.

I feed small amounts on a daily basis, but my schedule allows me to do this. On the weekends when I do not work I usually feed them twice, because I can space the feedings out. I rarely skip days since I feed such small amounts to begin with.

I skip a few days per week, but only if there aren't fry in the tank.
If there are fry, they get a few light feedings per day to keep their little bellies full, but not over stuffed at one time.

I feed twice a day, but that's just my notion of optimal as part of what I'm doing.

It has been my experience that livebearers and goldfish do better with very frequent small feedings, but I don't have either right now.

I generally feed mine every other day. Lately, I've been home more, so I've been feeding daily, skipping a couple days during the week.
