Default aquasoil and corys

has anyone had any problems with corys stirring up the substrate and making the water cloudy?

Yes I have. But for me, it is a small price to pay for one of the more interesting community cleaner fish, in my opinion. I would have never been able to give away so many as they are truly the easiest cory to breed. I keep a school of 12 in my 90G. I also run 2 HOB filters with Purigen to uncloud the water when it gets a little stirred up.

My I introduced cories into my new tank, they stirred up a ton of dust, which coated everything in the tank. I just kept shaking it out of the plants, and after a couple weeks all the dust made it into the filter and the tank is once again clean.

Cories can be very aggravating if you have a newly planted carpet, but their awesomeness far outweighs the negatives.

I had loaches in my 75 gal with AS I and had the same problem. My water never cleared so I removed them. Water cleared very quickly once they were out.
