Default Fish Swimming Sideways?

I understand that this is a plant forum, But I happend to be checking out my aquarium with the lights off, Checking out my night fish, And noticed that almost all the fish were swiming, 1/2 way on there sides!!
Is this normal? Or could it have anything to do with all the new plants!
PLEASE HELP!
Thanks!

All your fish? That is odd. Are they all at the top? Is it a new tank? What are your parameters, pH, any ammonia, CO2 injected?

Fish orient up and down with the light and with gravity. If the light was coming from the side rather than the top the fish will tilt over so they are sort of half-way between vertical-by-gravity and vertical-to-the-light.

Not a problem at all.

This is more noticeable in tall fish (Discus, Angels, Gouramis... ) and less noticeable in rounder/cylinder/torpedo shaped fish.
