Default white dot

Hi all,

I observed white dot on the body and fin of my fish, anything that i can do to help?

currently i already quarantine those affected in seperate "bowl", without knowing what to do next

plz advice. thanks.

You should try to take a post a picture of it. If its just 1 dot it might be fungus.

google "ich", "fish bacteria inection" to see what it looks like if you cant get a pic (i cant take pics of fish- they're too fast!) it's probably not a true fungal infection because fungus grows on rotting flesh and if you are just now noticing the white spot, i doubt it is fungus. you would have noticed rotting flesh (i hope!)

Fungus are usually on fins, can't see the rotting on fins with normal eye especially on small fishes. Bacterial infection prob appear more on the body of the fish when it is hurt or damage.

Look up all of them to see if they look similar to what your fish has (hopefully one does). When you move them to a bowl did you use the tank's water and drop a bit of the gravel from the tank in for bio filtration? If not it will make the fish way worst.

hi qwetus, i will try to capture one tomorrow, i tried just now quite hard to take a clear shot with the white dot shown clearly.

actually it's a few white dot on the fin of my tetra's tail.
