Default I have questions about plecos.

i found what i was told was a "blue green spotted pleco" at a lfs. i did searches on the internet for that and so far the green phantom (L 200) and blue phantom (L 128 which might be the same species as L 200, just from a different area) are some possible candidates. are either of those plecos plant friendly? im tempted to get a pleco but i have some hesitations. what can yall tell me about plecos and plants?
