Default Species list

Hello everyone,

I'm just about to the point of starting my tank redo, its a 35 gallon hex/tall, I just got my wood today and need to soak it a bit before I start taking my tank apart. I have a list of the species that I want and just wanted to get everyones take on whether or not they think that the fish and planted tanks won't mix. Thanks for your time in advance!

The list is as follows:
Albino Cory Cats
Neon Tetra
Rummy Nose Tetra
Cherry Shrimp
Ramshorn Snails
and cardinal Tetras, a few more neons or rummy nose or maybe someone has an idea for a "main attraction" fish that they can suggest?

I would just get one species of schooling fish. Cardinal Tetras if you can keep the GH really low, otherwise one of your other Tetra choices. Too small a tank to keep more than one schooling species.

Main attraction: Honey Gourami (maybe 1 M + 2 F if there are tall plants). Anything larger and they are more likely to eat shrimp.

Otos for algae. Or a Farlowella (Not as good as Otos for algae, but very interesting fish)
