I got some mini riccia that hitchhiked in with some HC. I want to take it out of the tank and see if I can cultivate it floating in a jar or vase on a windowsill. Any suggestions? I'm assuming that direct sun would be too much so I was thinking of a window that doesn't get direct sun. Any tips, suggestions or experience would be appreciated.

I have a feeling that if this works I'm going to have a lot of windowsill "aquariums".

I have grown some outside on the porch in a plastic container. It did not get direct sun untill the late afternoon.
