Question dosing CSM+B from Greg Watson

I need some help with this, and quite frankly I don't understand the direcions on "The Krib".

Can anyone give me some brief and SIMPLE instructions starting with how to mix and dose?

I am trying to balance my parameters to eliminate a completely out of control beard algea problem.

thankx, Ken

The simple reply...mix 1 tablespoon in 250 ml of water and dose 5ml per 20g of tank size.

The not so simple reply is to use the dosing above and slowly increase the amount of CSM+B added until you notice the plants do not look any better. Give yourself a week or two to notice the plants reaponse before increasing the dose again. You must also keep good levels of CO2, NO3 and PO4 in the tank while you make the CSM+B changes.

Matt, how often do I dose, and should I still use this in combination with Flourish?

Is this product all I need or do I still need other elements to maximize the nutrients requied to benefit the plants and keep the algea down?

Will the "beard algea" die off ? My plants are covered.

Thankx, Ken

You should dose the amount and mixture that Mat suggested everyday. You can double it and do it every other day.

It is basically the same thing as Flourish and is designed to replace it, therefore it is not necessary nor recommended to dose both.

The beard algae is a result of low CO2 levels. You need to up your CO2 levels and it will go away eventually. Also make sure you have adequate flow in your tank too.
