Default T5 at home depot

I saw some very skinny bulbs at home depot that appeared to be T5's. I have never seen them for sale before. For some reason they were a little shorter then the standard 4ft bulb.

I was just wondering if anyone knew the lumen output of a T5 bulb vs 55w PC bulb?

The lumen output of a NO T5 bulb will not be as much as a 55 watt PC bulb. The PC bulb is essentially a bent HO T5 bulb. Also, the 48" T5 bulbs are only about 46.5" long in actual inches. Hope that helps.

Here are known CF from Ivo Busko's article on AB:
Code:
Compact flourescent
bulb watts lumens lumens/watt
Dulux54 55 4800 87.3
PC6700 96 8100 84.4
PLL950 55 3800 69.1
PC6700 55 4230 76.9
Ott CF* 23 1200 52.2
Average is 73.98 lumens/watt.
Since the Ott CF sample drops that and is ~30% from the mean, I consider the average 79.4 lumens/watt, for what its worth.

AFAIK there is no T5 sample (and only one T5HO) in Busko's article, but every manufacturer site I have read has 104 lumens/watt.

(Busko's article also states PAReff uE/s/Watt is the best form of light measurement for our purposes. I have not seen a rating for this for T5.)
