Default Aqua Journal English Version?

Any chance there exists an English Version of Aqua Journal? If so, where can I subscribe?

When I first subscribed a few years ago, they did publish an english version. It was awesome! I don't think demand was high enough to continue with english translations. I kept up with the Japanese version for a year then dropped it. I enjoyed the photos but it gets old looking at the same nature aquarium layout over and over without being able to read about what is new in the hobby in Asia. I would pick it up again in a heart beat if it were published in an english version. I do believe that if you go to the ADA website, you may be able to find the past issues in english for sale. Good luck. Darrell

Exclamation Re: Aqua Journal English Version?

I too would be willing to pay a pretty penny for an English version. I just seems to me that they (the Eastern Asian Hobbiests) are on the cutting edge of the Hobby. There seems to be very little available by way of English literature. It all seems to reiterate the same stuff.

I mean, of course the knowledge base here at APC and The Planted Tank and The Barr Report contribute significantly to the hobby, but there are limits to our understanding on this end of the pond...it is not as culturally ingrained. I just want a new perspective.

So I suppose the two options are to a) create a bigger English market for Aqua Journal or b) learn to read Japanese...!!!

Some of it gets translated and added to the AGA magazines. Otherwise, I don't know that there is a plan to translate to English. You can always e-mail ADA directly via their web site.
