Default 60G lighting question....

Hello,

I currently have a 60G planted aquarium with one 30watt and a 2x30watt lighting fixtures. I have one aqua-glow, and two power-glow bulbs on it. Ive noticed that when I replace one of the power-glow for a marine-glow buld that when my plants start to pearl. My question is... is this enough watts for a 60G ? If not, where can I get a good cheap (in price) lighting fixture online?

Here is pics of my tank

90W on a 60 is a pretty low light tank. I'm sure you could maintain the lower light plants, but I do think there are limitations there. As far as your bulb questions go, from what I can tell, the ''marine glow" bulbs are actinic in nature, and should not be of much benefit to a planted tank. Yet you say they pearl when you switched it, perhaps the bulb you replaced was just old and had lost much of its intensity? If you had replaced it with another power glow, would it have had the same or better results?
