Default Red Sea Drop Checker

I can use one of these REd Sea Drop checkers and just use a 4 kH solution to use it the same as the ADA ones, correct?

While I am not familiar with that particular brand, the principle behind drop checkers are all the same. So the useage should be as well.

You also need to add a few drops of the pH/CO2 indicator solution that comes with the Red Sea CO2 indicator kit.

This wasn't mentioned, but I felt like it should be mentioned too.

cool. I got how it works. Let me ask this, is it hard to distinguish the green from the blue and yellow? They make that new drop checker with the two chambers one to hold the slution and one to hold a reference green solution so you can tell if its the proper green. IS this even neccessary or is the regular drop checker just fine? I dont have either so Im trying to figure out what I should get.

The new drop checker design looks really cool but it is not necessary. I am using the red sea checker now and it works just fine. The trick is that if you can't tell if it is green or blue then you need more CO2. When the water is at 30ppm CO2 using the 4dKH solution that is explained on this forum it is bright beautiful green, no doubts.

I use the Red Sea Drop Checker and had the same problem. Just wasn't sure where the green stopped and the yellow began. What I did was add an additional drop of the PH/CO2 solution and it helps. It's only when the green begins to transition to the yellow that it becomes unclear and by then, I know it's time to back it down a little.

These are the yellow, green and colors that you will see, but it doesn't show the in-between colors like lime green and blue green:

My browser is acting funky. If you can't see the pictures, they are at the following link:
