i have low - tech aquarium (125 liters)

i dont use airstone at night, because i dont want to reduce the CO2 level.

how much CO should be in my aquarium (in ppm)?

is 5 ppm in the mornin, before the lighting goes on, is OK?

If you don't inject CO2 into the water, either using DIY CO2 (yeast/sugar/water bottles) or using pressurized CO2, you will have the amount of CO2 in your water that is in equilibrium with the normally occurring CO2 in the air. That could be from less than one part per million to as much as 5 ppm. Anything that ripples the water surface will tend to stabilize that CO2 amount, so an air stone is beneficial, not detrimental.

If you are using DIY CO2, then you shouldn't use an air stone during the day, when the plants need the CO2, because that same surface ripple makes it easy for CO2 to escape from the water.

interesting....so if i have a 15G tank ....how much PPM ?

PPM is the same no matter what size tank you have. If you're adding CO2 to the tank either via diy or pressurized you shoot for 20-30ppm, otherwise your tank will basically be in equilibrium with atmospheric CO2, which I believe is around 1-3ppm.
