Default Does they k value of lights make a difference?


Hi there,

the lights I am looking to get come with 10,000k tubes/globes I was wondering if thats ok or do I need to change them? will they affect the look of the tank? and will they affect plants?

10,000k bulbs can look a little 'bluish' to people, but that's a personal preference. The lower kelvin bulbs can look a little 'yellow'.

Your plants should grow fine with that kelvin rating.
