Default Cycling

Hello,
A quick question about cycling.
Do I add PMDD to the water when starting a fishless cycle. I've added clear ammonia to 4 mg./L to water that was vacced from a larger tank. I also added some media from a HOB on another tank.
I have a fistfull of hornwort, 4 small amazons, 4 small crypts so far.
New Schultz aquatic soil.

Thank you
Charles

If you add enough fast growing plants in, you don't need to cycle. Take a look here.

Also adding the media from your other tank is going to help out with the process.

Depending on the size of your tank the plants you already have plus the media you added should be enough not to have to cycle.

I have cloudy water, but I think it's because of the Schultz substrate. I rinsed fddor about 20 min. in a bucket, but it's still "dusty".

My question was about P{MDD, not whether I should cycle.

Thanks anyway

Charles

Only trying to give you a little extra advice to save you from doing steps you don't need to do.

Yes, is the answer to your question.
