Default Plants that could be used in betta biotope

I realise this won't be a totally true one with the betta splendens I have, but I would like to explore at least the possibility of plants that might be found in such an environment.

I may consider doing a Paludarium as I have a 4 gallon with a cracked back that might make a nice partly terrestrial setup.

I have a lovely little betta, I have named him Kaon.

So, what sort of things would make this close to right?

Thanks!
