Question Rocks in planted aquarium

Hi there,

I'm starting a 77 gallon tank and I would lilke to know what rocks are good for a planted aquarium.

My LFS doesn't have any information regarding how the rock will affect the plantas or the fish.

Any advice will be really appreciated?

I have used slate, pertified wood and river stones. Never had a problem with these rocks affecting my water parameters.

I like to use lace rock. It's shot full of holes and hollows which make great hiding spots for fry and good planting locations. I know most of the lace rock I've gotten comes from Utah so it may be hard to find depending upon your location.

Turtlehead...The type of slate rock I bought from my LFS did not have any effect on my KH/GH/PH. There may be different types of slate rock, I'm not sure. I know that you can also buy it from landscaping company's.
