Plant Points: | plant deficiencies please help hello APC,
so lately I've noticed paler growth, testing of the leaves, and they are stubby and smaller. more noticeable on the polysperma (edit: I'm starting to think it could be a. reineckii) and palustris.
the tank was dosed yesterday the the macros are a tad high.
ammonia:0
nitrite:0
nitrate:15-20ppm or so
phosphate:5 ppm
dosing:
kno3 3.5g every 3 days
kh2po4 .5g every 3 days
flourish iron 3.5 ml every 3 days, day after macros.
flourish trace 2 capfuls every 3 days
lights:
2x54 8 hours
4x54 2 hours midday
any ideas?

Plant Points: | dosed an extra 2 ml of iron new growth is still looking the same.
could it be Ca deficiency? I'm sort lost here. tried upping the co2 but an hour later the fish are gasping, so I think I'm sitting pretty close to threshold for them. any suggestions?

anyways, I put flourish root tabs in and the plants are looking healthier now. however, I'm getting green water now

Plant Points: | Re: plant deficiencies please help You need to test your GH or do you know it? With your current fertilizing I would suspect a deficiency in Ca or Mg, more specifically an imbalance. Is your water extremely soft? What is your Kh? |

What is your Kh? | I use my tap, last I remember it was 3-4kh and about 8-9gh. root tabs aren't helping. my green nesaea is having twisted tiny new growth but are consistently green.
