Exclamation bannana plants and plecos

Well I'm happy to report my 55g tank is set up nice now
And I'm ready to start planting I have a worry about bannana plants and my large pleco will he a eat the roots b knock the darn plant over so it never grows?
Is their a way to help it stay in place so he does not knock it over.... I won't buy one until I'm sure
I've attached a pic of him and the plant id like to buy
