Default Anyone have exp with this?

I have a Scarlet temple, the site I got it from said it was a rosefolia but it looks a heck of a lot more like ALTERNANTHERA REINECKII 'LILACINA'. Anyways when I got it, it was bushy and tall. Its still tall but all the lowerold leaves are turning translucent, some yellowing first, and dying off. Its still shooting off new baby leaves all over, particularly nearthe base of the plant; also there's a bit of leaves above the surface that are absolutely thriving. I do have liquid fertilizer, (aqueon aquarium plant food) and a grow light. Standard off the shelf (walmart, I think) and I'm not sure the wattage...
Anyhow I was wondering if anyone has any expertise to lend, what can I do to make it a little happier? Does it need more fertilizer? Oh I forgot to say, I do about 2.5 mls a week.
Thanks!
Donica

I recommend you cut off all the emersed portions to keep the plant from putting all its growth into the emersed portion and losing all its submersed leaves. If it is Alternanthera reineckii, it will grow nicely if kept submersed.

Talking Re: Anyone have exp with this?

Oh, thank you! I'm sorry I'm new and I couldn't figure out where the general thread was on my tiny phone screen! Lol thanks for advice I will try that!! How often should I fertilize, btw? My set up is listed in my profile...I know I have a lot going on in such a small tank, but it seems to be doing fairly well...
