Default What is the deficiency?

I've been having trouble with my Hygrophila polysperma for a while now. The older leaves tend to grow holes on them. I keep hearing different things as to what element might be deficient...I would like a more accurate diagnosis as that would help a lot more in taking care of the problem. Thanks in advance.

That is a classic potassium deficiency. Try adding some potassium sulfate and this issue should go away.

I am adding potassium...maybe I just need to increase the dose. Thank you.

That does look like classic potassium deficiency, but I think I also see some iron deficiency, also. How fast are plants growing?

They're growing pretty quickly. I have to cut the tops every week. So increase iron as well? I have some ammania in that same tank and it's keeping its red coloration, it's growing pretty nicely. It seems like Hygrophilas are the only ones affected by this...difformis is going through the same thing.

Probably light issues. Polysperma is a light hog and will start to develop holes like that if shaded.

It's actually the plant that gets the most light in the tank...so don't think that might be it.
