does anyone live in the bcs area and keep planted tanks? I want to start a tank but need help.

There's a few in the area; maybe post this same question in the intros and then the general forums here to see if they notice your post.

I'm in Dime Box presently, which is about 45 minutes to your west. My tanks are NPT and I will be breaking them down soon for a move, but depending on a couple variables that will either be in 2 months or in 14 months.

There are several of us in town. Check out plantedtank.net as well, the other guys I know in town mainly post over there for some reason.

If you feel like making a drive to Houston on the 27th (Saturday) HAAPS is having a meeting. You don't have to join on your first visit and we can help you get started with info...even some plants if you're ready for them.

Just noticed your post on the pics; I am assuming you got my PM's already that answered your questions. Still no pics on the new scape yet, and I won't likely take any since it's a temporary set up anyway. Plus the driftwood is so awefully full of tannins that it looks like a blackwater scape. That'd be fine, except my plants are not blackwater plants, so it just makes the tank look like iced tea.
