Hello,

I just wanted to introduce myself to APC. My name is Saul and this is my first time undertaking planted aquariums with pressurized CO2. I have about eight years of experience with reef keeping. My friend really got me into the amano style aquariums and now I want to take a crack at it. I think the lush green aquascape with the rimless tank look is beautiful and hope to achieve that here at APC with everyone's help.

I have already been doing a lot of lurking and have currently ordered the electronic CO2 regulator from aquarium plants. I bought a CO2 tank yesterday and will probably get a SMS122 pH controller. I am thinking of building an inline heater housing hooked up to a Ranco temp controller and a DIY CO2 reactor for my tank. I have a rena xp3 from a freshwater tank I had a few years ago. I dont want my equipment to show in the tank.

The aquarium tank will be a 36X18x18 made by lee mar and I am undecided if I should add a front starphire glass pane. What do you guys think? Is the low iron glass worth the $75 extra for this size tank?
