Hello there, I stumbled upon this glorious site chocked full of info! I snooped about for a while and was looking at all the info while I was building a better "house" (tank) for my Chinese Fire Belly Newt, Figgy. I live in Central Florida. I currently have 2 tanks. One is 30 gallons, and the other is 10. My mother also built a terrarium in my 2.6 gallon tank that she STOLE from me!
My 30 gallon tank currently has: 5 Black Skirt Tetras, 2 Black Neon Tetras, 4 Mollies(2 Balloon-Belly, 1 Moon and 1 Black), and a High-fin Plecostomus. The 30g tank just recently got over a terrible fungus, I lost 6 fish in it! But that is my fault for not isolating.

It just started one day. one of my Black neon were stuck to the filter, dead. So I treated it with fungi-cure, and came home from classes to 2 more dead, 1 stuck to the filter again and the other at the bottom of the tank. The next day, 2 Mollies died over the coarse of the day, and on the 3rd day another Mollie. I was sure my High-fin was next, he was looking terrible. He has recently gained his color back and his appetite and is doing much, MUCH better. My 30 gal is all about my High-fin. If he had died, I would have deconstructed the tank and sold my fish.
My 10 gallon tank has: 1 Female Guppy, 1 Male Guppy(He is gorgeous! Never have I seen a guppy like him in a LFS!) and 1 Fire belly Newt. My hope is that the guppies will spawn and Figgy will have some tasty guppy snacks! If they don't I will probably transfer them over to the 30 gallon so he doesn't snack on them! My 10 gallon also has some plants, but I can't seem to find their tags as of right now.
Thank you for reading!
