Revernance- I bought the lampeyes at a LFS. I looked on Aquabid for them but had no luck there, Ebay might sell eggs but I'm not sure. Unfortunately another one of my lampeyes died, so now I only have 2 females and 5 males! My biggest female has laid quite a few eggs, they last about a week until they are eaten though, and my smaller female is still underage. One of the eggs has eyed up, and if it hatches out I will let things go as they are. If the eyed up egg gets picked off, I will have to set up a floating net and put lots of moss and any eggs I see in there. I still have no idea what is going on with these fish, but at least my big female is healthy! So far she has laid around 9 eggs that I have seen. Lampeye eggs are pretty big, but they are all spread out, so finding them takes awhile.
Sunstar- I used Gutter Guard screen, it's meant to go over gutters I guess! I bought it at Fredmeyer's, but any hardware store should sell it. It is made out of thick sturdy plastic, but the down side to it is that its only 6" wide, so it would take a couple of strips to cover the back of an aquarium. I think the roll of screen cost me $3, and that was for 20 feet, so it goes a long way! If you have enough moss to pack a mesh/screen fully, then it won't matter what you use because the moss will grow out to hide it. I won't set up my pretty tank until I have moss coming out of my ears, but the bare screen edges look fine for an ugly tank!
Dawntwister- No ferts or Co2! I gave up on the idea of Co2 because I don't have enough nutrients to support quicker growth. The hellclump of bba is all gone, the only algae I have is on a section of the big root thats under the emersed box. Not a lot left, and I have absolutely no algae any where else! I have never scrubbed the glass that is submersed yet either, the only thing on the glass is hydra. The tank used to have a lot of buggies in it, but the populations are dwindling down. I will let the hydra be, the same thing happened in my NPT and once the buggies die down the hydra starve and disappear. After awhile the buggy populations pick up again, but not as many, and they are stabilized, and no more hydra! Hopefully this will happen in the ugly tank also, the hydra already look small and thin.
I decided against putting my dragon goby in this tank, I believe the tank could support him just fine, but he wouldn't have any running room. Eventually I will trade him in to my LFS, they are good people and will take care of him. No more impulse buys for me! I will take pictures of him later on though, he looks wicked cool, but he is very peaceful, not predatory at all. He only eats blood worms and the occasional shrimp pellet, he wouldn't even touch a tiny earthworm! Picky picky...
I have 3 berried shrimp now! The one that I thought was saddled is now berried, only the red thing in it's back is still there! I guess I still can't really tell when a shrimp is saddled, but I know what berried looks like

. You were right Sunstar, berried shrimp look freaky! It looks like they are making popcorn and rolling it around in there swimmerets
