Great job Adam!

Looks like you flowered quite a few species this year. Keep up the good work.

How about the limnophila mini 'Vietnam' flowers? I think we might have to go emmersed growth for this one since its low growing.

that one and some other low grow spp are on my list, and you're correct something a little different is needed. This winter I'll be working in a 24x24x18 exoterra and hope to get some erios / Trithuria / and my carpet plants to flower. Can't take the floating mats of plants in my cubes anymore

I've been working on some hydroponic containers for the larger upright stems, to see how that goes. Its a little different than what I'm used to, the plants are in a foam type substrate (not rockwool) with their roots poking down into a frothy nutrient solution that is kept in the dark. the results look great from what I've seen and algae/mold/fungus is a non-issue.

What do you have planned to maintain the humidity level? I take it that it must be around 70% and above to avoid drying? Will they be in humidity domes?

the containers are rather shallow and will fit easily inside my exoterra which is 24" tall.
we'll see how it works out, but I think they will be fine. Managing humidity has been one of my biggest problems over the years. I think the exoterra will help.

well I dont know about that
but the hyptis flowers are pretty cool looking in person.
little polka dots and lots of neat little fuzzy structures.
technically either Kris or Cavan flowered it first here, but its nice to get them myself.
Hyptis is another that takes a while to make flowers (or at least for me it did)

Rotala sp. 'mini butterfly' should be done soon.
the flowers are starting to open.

doing fine! I've dropped the bubble rate way back because most of whats going on now is above the surface. I have a few more spp that have flowered or are about to, I'll get an update posted after the holidays. I think its about time to tear down and retake my cubes for submerged growth. If I don't, I'll probably never be motivated to finish my exoterra setup.
