Here's an update with some pre-trim pics and post-trim pics.

First before the trim:

After the trim:

That is looking awesome! I always feel like my tank looks scraggly after a trim... But yours looks very nice! Well manicured!

Thanks!

My tank looks scraggly immediately after a trim, too. It usually looks better later that day and much better in a couple of days.

Haha... it takes mine a week or so before it looks decent again. I'm itching to do some major rescaping...

I really like how you raised the moss up half way up in the back. I don't see the Gourami's anymore. Did you get rid of them? Did you ever have any problems with them living together with the Cardinal's?

Thanks. The rock wall covered with java moss was one of my main ideas when building the aquascape. I like how it has turned out too.

When my apisto cacatuoides spawned I moved the pearl gouramis to another tank. This allowed the apistos to focus on guarding the fry from the cardinals only and they have been able to raise some fry. I just wanted to decrease the number of potential predators and I had space to move them elsewhere.

The pearls have been completely peaceful with everything I've ever kept them with. The only issue I've ever had was when I added a new pearl to a tank with one established pearl. The established pearl did not want the company and chased the new pearl that was smaller until I removed it.

Thanks!

I like to cram as many plants in the tank as I can.
