I'm starting to like the way this simple scape is taking shape:

Last, a shot with flash on, just for contrast:

Thanks for looking!

Coming along quite nicely, but i think the hang back filter defeats the purpose of using Co2, maybe you could get a Ehiem 2213.

I already have one, and the HOB is temporary while I wait for my replacement double-tap to get delivered. (You are quite the intuitive one!)

But FWIW, the HOB isn't really doing much harm to my CO2 levels. I have the flow set at the lowest rate, so there really isn't all that much surface turbulence, as long as I top off the water every morning. The drop checker stays lime green all the time.

The real problem I'm having with the HOB is simply that I can't direct the flow where I want it to go. But yeah, the double tap should be here by early next week, so the Eheim will get hooked back up.

I love Eheims, but I have to admit, those double taps do tend to leak for me, all throughout the years I've used them. I think I'm officially going to be a Filstar man from now on, for all the new tanks I set up.

Thanks Phil.

I'll be taking some pictures of the tank tomorrow. My camera is currently on vacation until then. Yesterday I gave the microsword a mowing, then replanted the aromatica after topping it. It looks nice, and the microsword is still spreading beautifully. Now that I've chopped it down, it should stay lower and the leaves should grow shorter. That's how it's been for me in the past, anyway.

Time for an update! First some full tank shots:

A couple closeups of the aromatica:

My lone amano (with a couple of scared rummynose in the back, poor guys):

That's pretty much it. Just wanted to show where the tank is at. Thanks for looking.
