Hello every body. I start this journals because one person inspire me. Actually it s a augment more than inspire :P The idea of this tank is challenging. Can we create a tank that cheap and beauty? ...Let's see

I live in Arlington,TX 76014 Arkansas lane is under construction for more than 4 years and still working = =



However, I found great substrate on the street, and that is ....Arkansania Super-dirt

This is my Nano Cube
Lance crackers tank 7x8x13 inches found in garage :P

put 2 cups of pot soil


follow with Arkansania Super-dirt


Suck out water as I can and put some live rock(concrete) that I found on Arkansas Lane, and attach with some moss

The tank now is fully set up
Tank Nano Cube 3 gallon 7x8x12 inches
Filter E-ha 666 bottlister (DIY)
Substrate pot soil + Arkansania Super-dirt
CO2 none
Lighting Sunlight + Moonlight
Plant Hairgrass + X'mass Moss

2 weeks later the Moss is dying I think because of the heat but hairgrass is growing well

Cool project bro! I like it! The temps might be a bit cooler if you could get the tank away from the concrete wall/pavement. Might allow for the moss to recover a bit.

We are still in 4th week I have confident that my tank set up is in good shape.
No have green water or any algae. Then today I relocated the tank.
I put the tank in front yard, so the tank can has more direct sunlight a day. The picture take on May 9,2012 the temperature during summer time is getting hotter day by day. From what I see the tank temperature is between 21 - 31 C.

Put new DIY filter, more media+aquaponic (in the pictures is Basil)
