Luis Navarro came up to present at the DFWAPC for May 2012. Here are some pxs of the tank and the meeting.

Drinda, thanks for posting this!

The meeting was great, and your hospitality is incredible. It is amazing how much you can learn just by watching someone as skillful and knowledgable as Luis. I have a whole new set of techniques to try on my next tank.

Thanks for the compliments! That room is Bill's man cave. Jerry, yes that is riccia on the rocks. The intention is that it will run together. The tank has about 4 months before the scape is mature. The foreground will fill in, plants revert to submerged version, trident fills in, etc. the riccia will no doubt has to be redone within that time period.

Phil, we miss you too! I know we have to share you but it's hard!

I know what you mean Michael. It's really educational to learn from people who are expert at this. We need to get Ricky to do this for us too.

Tanya, the tree was passed on to Nancy to try. I figure we can take turns with it. . We have a smaller version well give to someone as well.

Looks fun!! I wish I had a cool club to hang out at around these parts. I'm happy to hear that things went well and everyone had a nice, educational time! Nice re-scape!!

She said that you guys had lived in Tennessee a while ago.....my wife and I just relocated here back in October ourselves, so we don't have real roots here quite yet. We love it though!! That would have nice to have you guys within a 25 minute drive due north!! Any plans on moving back, Bill?

Hey, weren't you two supposed to take a road trip and swing by for a quick visit on your way back home.....she had mentioned a long vacation in your RV?

Worse case, I will have to catch the two of you at AGA in St. Louis in November! Love the tank!!
