6/7 through june 15
I ve been doing alot of trimming on the rotala so that it grow denser.. dwarf hairgrass was added on the 15. I noticed the finnex is not doing to great in producing enough water movement. Co2 remain pretty consistant. I left it on 24/7

The last picture attached was on 6/23, after trimming the rotala. I have been battling ich for the past 2 weeks. one of the cardinal tetra did not make it. I am hesitant to add more fishes because I dont have a QT tank..

Sorry to hear about your Ich loss. Not having a QT does make for some trouble! Sometimes I've used a bucket with an internal filter and spare heater to make a temporary QT. Get a nice green or neutral colored bucket so the color won't freak out the fishies. Also, I don't know that just two schooling tetras is such a good idea - I buy them in batches of ten!

true.. a school of ten looks so much better.. but then its only a 10 gal.. i didnt want to overstock.. can a heavily planted 10 gal tank handle 10 cardinal tetra.. plus otocinclus which im planning on adding in couple of days.

I think so! Six shrimps, 10 tetras the size of cardinals, and an oto shouldn't be too much. Just keep an eye on them and fast them a couple days right after introduction so the fast-growing plants and bacteria have a chance to take up the extra ammonia.

If you don't already have an ich medication, you might want to get some - I know some folks don't like using meds if they don't have to, but I've had good success in beating off ich in just days without losing any fish when using medication.

Plants are doing well.. except taiwan moss on dw. Theres some algae that looks like brown hair algae mix together with the moss. Thinking about getting some excel and spray it directly onto the moss during water change. Anybody have any other method to control algae growing in ur moss?

Big trim on Saturday and lowered the photo period to reduce algae on the moss. Some of the dwarf grass died due to the malfunction of the timer during a 4 days vacation but they are growing back. Increased 25% water 2x/week. Continued dosing PPS pro. Addred crypt wenddi on the right side of the tank as well.
