It was along the back wall with the output aimed along the substrate.

"I then add 5 ppm NO3 and 1 ppm PO4. A few minutes later I add 30ml of Flourish Iron and 60ml of Tropica traces. That's it. CO2 and lighting is otherwise automated. I've been doing this for about 3 weeks now. No problems yet. We'll see."

Bryce,

Do you only dose once after the water change or do you add more during the week?

Ah, um,

I'm still working on this. Lately I've been doing the lazy man routine only doing one big dosing every three or four days. I must admit it really isn't working as well as daily dosing. There are too many algae issues, thus no recent photos.

Ok. I dose daily and it is working well for me. I dose leaner than EI. 15.8 ppm KNO3 per week, .81 ppm kh2po4 per week and .29 ppm csm+B per week. I still do a 50% water change per week, I discovered things got a lot better algae wise, when I went from 33 % wc to 50 % wc. Anyway, the reason I asked is, I was wondering if I could get away with dumping the weekly dosage of kno3 and kh2poh after a water change and add the weekly dose of CSM+B the following day. It would make things easier but, I haven't had the guts to try it. I wouldn't relish fighting BBA or cyano again.
