HOLY CRAP! that is amazing, I can't wait to watch it progress I can only dream of one day owning a tank like that. Looks like you've put a lot of planning into this. what kind of tanks have you had in the past?

Thanks for sharing!!!

WOW, very nice!
Not sure about the view from your down stairs toilet, are you going to for fit the toilet or are you going to box the tank in so you don't know its even there ( if thats possible)!!

In short looks good from your main room not sure about the room the tank is in, and its a great excuse to go out hiking for some wood.

Looking forward to following this.

MrSanders,
Odds are it was a slab house. It's typical in California. Some key indicators are the floor where the tile was laid as well as the driveway and garage.

Amazing, you got matching furniture too.... The big piece of wood is very nice and has great potential, if it fits the tank, I would be very hesitant to cut it up. Nice design and display. WOW.

good call Mike, if i was paying close attention to detail i might have caught that haha, also Ive never been or know anything about cali to know they build a lot on slabs....

I was wondering about that.... couldnt imange the work that would be needed to build enough support to handle a tank that big!

I cant wait to see this one progress, have any plans as to what type of scape your going to go for? mostly slow growing crypts and anubias i would assume? Keep us all posted

This is gonna be a sweet tank! I sure hope you have your snorkel/scuba gear handy. You're gonna need it when it comes time to plant and trim
