Default Going high tech to low tech

I am considering turning my 300 gallon high tech tank into an Amazon Low tank tank with lot's of wood and lower light plants. My tank in 8'L x 2'H x 2.5'W. I have four 96W CF, two are 6700k, the other two are 67ook/colormax bulbs. I also have three 150W 10,000K MH. I have two CO2 canisters, each running through 1000 reactors. Filtering is two Eheim Pro 3's and one Eheim 2128. One reactor is running thru the 2128, the other is hooked up to an Eheim 2250 pump. My substract is Eco-Complete.

I am considering changing the lighting to T5's with a mixure of 6700k's, colormax and maybe some other color spectrums. The tank is 2.5' wide so I can fit a wide spectum of colors.

I'm looking for any suggestions as well as pros & cons over doing this. My present plants include E.Stelatta, Cabomba, Blyxa Japonica, Blyxa Aubertii and Narrow Leaf Lilaeopsis. I also have small amounts of Octopus plant and Glossostigma. I had lot's of Glosso but it overwhelmed the tank and I ripped it out. It's starting to grow good again. I would imagic that none of that would work in this envirement.

Thank you for any suggestions and thoughts
Michael
