Do I hear a challenge??... I think I can oblige - you have to look through the clouds.... (imagine how red they would be without all the white cloudiness )

1. Rotala Macrandra--------------- 2. Sunset Hygro

3. Pogostemon Stellatus----------- 4. Limnophila Aromatica

5. Red Foxtail---------------------- 6. Rotal Magenta -narrow leaf

Hmmmm. I'm not sure how I missed this thread. Big tanks are great aren't they? Don't worry too much about the cloudiness. It will pass. Bacteria from the nutrient-rich substrate are probably responsible. A diatom filter will certainly fix that, but it might be a while before it settles down. WC's will help.

Nice jungle look. Your photos are making me want to give swords & A. madagascariensis another try. Nice R. mac!

I know you're ok with the low pH now but I agree with MatPat. My tank has a KH of about 3 and pH ranges between the high 5's and low 6's. I still think the best way to do it is to gradually, carefully lower the pH until the fish show the slightest stress. Back off about 0.1 - 0.2 pH units and you'll usually be good.

guaiac_boy - Thanks for the words of encouragement. I've been quite familiar with w/c since I redid this tank. They are my best friend...

I think the jungle look is my favorite as there is something different everywhere you look. Love the contrasts of color, texture, size, shape..

ph issues seem to be more of a head thing for me I guess. Mine is so low my pH indicator can't go lower so my selenoid won't let the C02 come on. Hard to keep CO2 in my tank. Now that's low!

Don - dark pink? I think you need a new monitor, or more coffee- Adjust your monitor so they look red and you will be fine! I'm finally getting some where huh?! Yea!

Your tank is looking great even with the cloudiness. I love the way the branches define individual nooks, but how everything still flows together. Does that make any sense to you? - I can see the tank as a whole as a beautiful creation, and then within the tank you've made soft divisions, nothing hard or abrupt. It still goes together, but the soft divisions make it less overwhelming and provide multiple focal points. Anyway, I love it. (and your reds are lovely too! )

Thank you Catherine for your kind words. It's amazing that anybody can see through all the milk! I can't wait til you'll be able to see the rocks and all the branches. There isn't any depth until you can see through to the back. I have some plants back there that don't even show up in the milky soup I have right now. I do love all the nooks and crannys - just like an english muffin !

You have good vision seeing the reds - You should give Don some lessons!
