Default Re: Trout pond pictures

Harebear has been saying that the pond has not been having as much outflow from it as it should, he thought that maybe there was a hole in the liner. Well, when the pumps were cleaned out and there was not much coming over the waterfall, it was time to explore the waterfall. Not good news, there is a 12 inch crack at the bottem of the stock tank For a quick fix we used plumbers putty and will now be watching the adds for another stock tank at the farm supply. Winter is coming quickly and we hope that the tank will last until spring. On a side note, I tried weeping willow branches in the waterfall tank to help with algae and was very happy with the results. It was amazing today to see how thick the willow branch roots were, they almost filled the whole tank with roots and the algae has been under control all summer. A + on the green water willow experiment
