Default 5,000+ gallon 8' deep koi pond

My koi pond we are just finishing up.
apx 20' long X 7' wide X 8' deep

Running (1) 1/4 hp pump and (2) 1/3 hp pumps. Ultra quiet and energy efficient W.Lim Dragon pumps.
3 bottom drains with air bubble diffusers
2 skimmers
Waterfall
Giant 44" T5-HO 40W UV light
Wave 36 vortex settling tank
Sand filter converted to a bio-filter with media

Just waiting on the plaster now.















Part of a big back yard oasis build.

Can't say i haven't thought about turning my swimming pool into a tank. Maybe after your thread I can have a go at it : )

Excellent resource for proper concrete pond construction. You can convert a pool, but its gonna take a lot of work.



Pretty much done now. They plaster everything on Monday and then its time for water and fishies

I hope that was not lime stone i seen in there. If so better get some advice on Koiphen. Looks like
your not cutting any corners, will make very nice home for those Japanese koi.

If you mean the waterfall rock, that is moss rock. It's a type of sandstone.
