Default Lighting a 2ft 20g tank
I guess that I am going to need about 50-60w of lighting.
Would three 20w CF bulbs give enough light?
Or would that just give me three lots of 20w intensity lighting?

That would work, or even more. You would have a total of 60w. On a 15 gallon, I used to have 4 24" 20w standard flourescents - (2) 24" shop lights built into a fixture. Now I run 2 x 55w CF on the same tank.

im running one quad cf bulb over my 20 which is 96w


but i think you should be good with the 3x20w
