Is this light good for a low-med light 10 gal planted tank? It won't be heavily planted, I'm using it as a breeder tank for some gouramis.

I cant say from experience with that lamp in particular but I do have a T8 close to that color temp over my 10G and found that on its own it makes that tank a very odd color (it is essentially a pink bulb after all). They seem to intended for plant growth but are not great at lighting your tank.

Perhaps someone who has tried this particular bulb would be able to give you better advice.

If your hood has two sockets maybe get the 10w version and a 6500 or 10k to get the best of both worlds.

I'll prob stick with 6500k CF bulbs for nowsince those seem to work for a lot of people when planting.
