Default cfl's or led's

Hey i have a 5.5 gallon with brand new baby tears and lucky bamboo and its my first tank and i don't really know anything about this stuff so i would like to know what the proper wattage is and if i should use an LED or a CFL. Also i have some snails in the tank, a betta, and 10 ghost shrimp. All doing fine together.

The question is, how much do you want to spend? If you are the 99% like us, I recommend going with a clip in dome reflector and 26w Daylight bulb from local hardware store. All this will run you less than the price of a 3d movie ticket and bucket of popcorn.
