Default couple of questions on T5

OK got my new (to me) 46 bow front, it has a 2 bulb T5HO current light fixture. my first question is, is 2 T5HO to many for the tank as a planted with DIY co2?
my next question is can i mix HO and NO T5's?

Hi mcg177,

No you cannot mix T5NO and T5HO; use T5HO and adjust your photoperiod for the amount of light you need. You bulbs each put out 39 watts for a total of 78 watts, I would start with a 6 hour photoperiod if you have DIY CO2 running. Don't forget to use ferts, Seachem Flourish Comprehensive and Seachem Excel is what I used on this 45 gallon tall with 96 watts and DIY CO2.
