Have been here for three years but only had a chance to go out this fall. I have found the following in a nutrient poor lake similar to what exists when I lived in Minnesota. E. Aquaticum. Isoetes lacustris,I. prototypus, I. tuckermanii, Lobelia dortmanna and Myriophyllum tenellum, Nymphoides cordata, Pontederia cordata, Elatine minima, gratiola aurea, littorella uniflora, ranunculus flabellaris. I am attempting to cultivate the following in warm water or cold water tanks with no co2 and minimal ferts; littorella uniflora, E. Aquaticum, Isoetes lacustris, Lobelia dortmanna, Elatine minima.
In adittion I found a liverwort I have not identified growing in a small dark creek but well moving water and attached to rock. It grows well in a cold water tank in my house with white cloud minnows, w/no co2, ferts, air pump, no energy inputs at all. I have also found one aquatic moss and one that may not be aquatic. The aquatic one is growing well in with the liverwort.
I am surrounded by peat bogs and bog pounds here and if anyone has any tips on what to look for in those areas please let me know. The season is about done here for looking in ponds without freezing to bits.
