I love this nano tank. Well done! I did the exact same thing with my Marineland Eclipse (removed framed, similar layout). Makes a great looking rimless nano.

How are you trimming the riccia foreground in such a tight space?

Of course nice looking nano. What type of riccia are you using? Are you using regular riccia or dwarf riccia?

Thanks for the comments!

I haven't had to trim the riccia yet in the 2 1/2 weeks the tanks been setup, but most of the riccia is on two flat, but large pieces of slate running through the middle of that "valley" if you will, so I'll probably very carefully lift them up and out, trim and put back in.

I believe the riccia is the regular size Riccia fluitans. Here's another pic with the background lit up a bit.

I like how you can barely see the filter/heater w/the bow-front effect that the tank naturally makes.

Simply inspirational, show us some close-ups!

Thanks for the comments.

This tank has been up a month and is simple in both design and maintenance. I'll be curious to see how it holds up long time if I keep it this way long enough. I'm dosing once a week, excel everyday and doing about 20% wc per week.

Here's a closer shot:

Decided to rescape the tank. Any comments are welcome?

Right now there are a few cherry shrimp and some very young fancy guppies.
