Default 5G Low cost/tech nano

This is a nano I put together a couple of weeks ago using a tank that wasn't being used and mostly cuttings from my 72G. I'll probably play around with it alot. Currently the riccia is still growing in to complete the carpet and the rotala might be too large a leaf size, but as I said it was made from clippings.

The specs:

Tank: 5G AGA with frame removed
Light: 18watt Coralife Mini Aqualight suspended with picture wire
filtration: Red Sea Nano Filter
Substrate: Eco complete
Flora: Riccia fluitans, Rotala rotundifolia, Vesicularia dubyana
Fauna: Cherry Red Shrimps
Ferts: No3, Po4, Flourish, Excel

Can you take picture of your aqualight to show me how you were able to hang it? I want to make legs for mine but cant figure out a good way to do it.

All I did was remove the recessed screws on either side of the aqualight and wrapped picture wire around them and put them back in. Since the tank sits underneath a kitchen-type cabinet all I needed was the speaker wire and a few screws anchored into the underneath of the cabinet.

Thanks! All the riccia is held down by rocks with hairnets. The different size rocks give it a sloppy hillside look. I've also built up the gravel on the left as well.

Thanks! Since it's not a great abundance of light (18watts) and there's no co2 I'm adding the following:

Weekly
Dash (1/8tsp) - no3
Nip (1/64 tsp) - po4
Flourish (1 ml)

Daily
Flourish excel (1 ml)

I'm changing about 25% of the water weekly as well.

Beautiful tank! Proof that you don't HAVE to go hi-tech to get nice results.
