Default question about the 3 gallon Picotope

Does anyone have any experience using these? If so, what kind of bulb does the included clamp lamp use? All it says is '9watt 50/50 compact flourescent' in the advertisment. Doesn't mention if it's a screw-in bulb, square pin or what size bulb it uses. I'm not sure if there are even any suitable replacement bulbs available
I'm wanting to set up a planted nano for a betta, but with the readily available setups, like the Picotope, the lighting is always geared towards the reef end of the hobby. I know Coralife makes mini 6700k cf bulbs in 9 and 10watt versions..I just have no clue what fixtures they work in besides the Mini-Aqualight..and were I to get a Mini-Aqualight..I'd have no idea of how to suspend it over a curved glass tank without cutting a custom glass canopy for it.

Any thoughts?

Default Re: question about the 3 gallon Picotope

The Picotope fixture uses a typical 6.5" 9w power compact bulb with a G23 socket which is compatible with most 9watt power compact bulbs such as the Coralife bulb you mentioned.

As far as mounting a Mini Aqualight:
