I wanted to scape something today but in the main tank without knowing which specific pit my rams had their wrigglers in wasn't going to tackle the 75... and then my betta's tank caught my eye!
I'd recently ordered some plants and they sent me an extra anubias barteri var. angustifolia (which is actually smaller than most of my nanas

) so I decided to make it the centerpiece & focal point of the tank. I expect it'll outgrow the tank in about a month... or if I really felt like prolonging the scape I could let it grow out the top or tie it lower... Crypts (wendtii green) were in there before. They make a great background plant the way they've grown for me in my very low light. I've then got a couple of sag. sub plants pretending they're b. japonica

as midground plants. Hygro polysperma fills in the middle of the tank sloping upward toward the anubias. There's some xmas moss on the driftwood but only just attached it today so it's not really visible yet. Going to try to get a small nana to place at the bottom underneath the angustifolia for balance I think... (close to no sand right there - the driftwood doesn't sink on its own yet so I have it zip tied to a thin rock, but in a tank this small even a thin rock takes up a lot of space.)
Definately not a long term scape - especially since with this light & no ferts I'll probably need to be swaping out the hygro every week or so for smaller plants while the previous recover in my big tank - but hopefully it can at least win me the tank of the month contest in my local club
Thanks for looking.
