I don't have any experience with Killies, but there are many species that would work in your tank. Some of them only live for a couple years though, so just know what you are getting. You could have a pair in there for sure, depending on the species. Clown Killies are really small so you might could have 2 pair.

UPDATE:

My tank got pretty grown in, but it just didn't look right, so this past weekend I tore it down and replanted, mostly adding driftwood and java moss, but I'm still looking for a good background plant. I'm looking for something similar to Blyxa japonica. I included pics of old and new. Thanks for any input.

I think your tank is gonna look really nice after it grows in =) I think you can get some microrasboras or even like a pair of dario darios. Good luck with the tank!

Maybe you could use some tall hair grass or maybe some small rotala. Looks good though.

The pygmy rasboras are great. I have Boraras maculatus or brigettae (not sure which) and Boraras merah (phoenix rasbora).

Check out this thread http://www.aquaticplantcentral.com/f...orasboras.html

I think 1 dwarf puffer and an oto would be awesome in that tank.

Ember tetras are small enough (0.8") so you could have several. As the tank doesn't have a heater another plus is they're tolerant of temperatures down to about 65 degrees F.

As far as killifish, there are so many kinds, from annuals to some that live several years. There are extremely shy (they only zip out to grab a piece of food) killis, and bold killis. Personally, I recommend a pair of Aphyosemion australe (the orange variety shows up well). They are fairly tolerant of a range of conditions, can be kept in containers as small as 2 gallons, and bold enough to take food (such as frozen bloodworms) from your fingers.

I've got a F. gardneri killi in a 2.5 gall and he seems to be doing great. He's pretty bold (sometimes he attacks the end of the dropper I use to feed him bloodworms) and has some great color.

I got a dwarf asian puffer (carinotetradon travancoricus) from Petsmart two years ago and it is still doing great. Except it won't eat flake/freeze dried food. I feed it mostly snails and frozen bloodwoms and the occasional live worm treat. I pains me to put it in a tank with just it and a couple of shrimp, but my wife loves it. It's behavior is rather fascinating. Kinda like an aquatic cat. It stalks it prey and them pounces. fun. Good luck to you.
