Thank you all for the kind words.

Yes foofooree, root over rock style...erodium.
That is a very nice compliment Texgal..thanks.
Hi Roy. I am really not the one to ask about ferts, as I am still working with 'what works' and ' what does not'. I use a 1 ML syringe, and presently each nano gets 0.3 ml per day. It is so hard to give someone an exact amount that will work for their tank.
So many factors come into play~
How much hardscape and substrate there is=how much actual water volume
How heavily the tank is planted
For a six gal tank I would start with about 0.5 ML and go from there. With ferts you have to get a feel for what works for your tank. Do a search here for member LeftC, he helped me alot with ferts.
I started out using all of seachem's liquid ferts, and dosed according to their dosing chart here~
http://www.seachem.com/support/PlantDosingChart.html
I found by following the chart exactly, but not figuring things like when I trimmed plants and had less mass, was a mistake. It is a guide only. I learned you should not dose potassium and iron at the same time.
Now I am using dry ferts~ N,P,&K and CSM&B on alternating days. I still use Excel as well for the nanos, my 20 gal has press. CO2. Look up also the EI method{Estimative Index} You dose for six days and do a water change of 50% on the seventh day to reset your parameters. HTH, good luck.
