Default Coconut's 2.5g Planted Nano Journal

If you've been through the DIY forum, you've more or less likely have seen my DIY built in overflow for my 2.5g pico tank.
This is just a continuation "journal" of sorts.
The original thread can be found here: http://www.aquaticplantcentral.com/f...ico-built.html
----
Well, obviously we want to see pics! But first, here's the specs:

Coconut fiber Substrate (Layer 1)
Cheapy Sand (Layer 2)
13 watt Grow CFL clip-on lamp
Aqua-VA80 mini power head
Kent fresh water plant Fert.
[soon] DIY yeast CO2

A 2.5 Gallon tank with a basic DIY overflow filter.

The mini power head used.
----

Here it is all set up and running:

Full Tank (R)

Full Tank (L) (As you can see the whole side is cracked... The origins of which I may or may not share) =p

Water level difference (overflow in action!)

-----
Changed the scape to resemble more of a "stumpish" type setup.
Also, Plants came in the mail!
The flora at the moment are Java and Xmas Moss, while the Fauna are two very lonely Zebra Danios (whom have escaped my ability to capture them on camera).

Full tank (R)

Close up

Angle (1)

Angle (2)

-----------------------

Over all, I'm pretty happy with the set up. First experience with aquascaping!
So far, my total costs have totaled to around $50. Which is great for a planted tank!

Anyways, I'm on the lookout for any HC grass, Fissidens, Hydrocotyle (leucocephala), or may be even some nano anubias. (So if you have anything you'd wanna offer me... $ ha ha)

I'm open to any other plant/scaping suggestions, so all/any feedback is welcomed.
=D

(I'll update if anything new happens)

Woops, forgot to add;
The tank was over heating, so I made a little DIY fan out some old toys and a cell phone charger. ha ha.

It effectively reduced the temperature from 84~86 Degrees down to a comfortable 72~76 degrees.

Here's a One & Two week Update:

Week 1

As you can see, I'm having a little spot algae problems on the glass... Not all to bad though.
The moss has started to attach to the wood. Over all, good growth.
As a result of the algae, I picked up two otos at my LFS

Week 2

Added a Anubia sp.barteri "Petite" as well as some HC (although the HC didn't exactly do well during shipping... we'll have to see if it'll grow back)

Refering to the anubia right?
Yes, I'm pretty sure it is.
The tank is less than 2 gallons.
It prolly just looks big in comparison. =] lol

What was overheating the tank? Is it the powerhead?

Your set up looks quite nice, I am particularly fond of your mosses. You added some algae eaters which look nice too. I wouldn't add more danios though, 2.5 gallons is already a bit too small since they like space to swim and chase each other about.

Some people will tell you that you need to keep shoals of at least 6 zebra danios and blah blah blah to avoid aggressive behavior, but if you see that your two danios are acting otherwise peacefully, then this shouldn't be a concern. I wouldn't add more fish population though, it's a tiny home as it is...

The light actually.
Socal's summer weather+the light made the temperatures go up pretty high.
