Default Mount Shasta Goodness...

Went on a houseboat trip with some friends at Mt. Shasta. Decided to take a look around, and saw some amazing natural sights but what really caught my attention (besides the wakeboarding and tubing) were the rocks and driftwood just laying around. needless to say, i collected several rocks and driftwood off the shore, much to the amusement of my friends, hauled some 25 lbs of fragile rock and driftwood home. anywho--i dont care because i love the ending hardscape.

Here's a decent pic of the hardscape. Will upload the planted version once when I get all my desired plants. speaking of which, anybody want to send some Utricularia graminifolia over?

That's a really cool hardscape! Hope the wood is tank safe.

that would be really scary. and such a waste.
living manzanita trees were close to the location where the driftwood pile was so im betting (i guess staking the life of my aquarium) that my driftwood pieces came from them.

continuing on...
so i decided to throw in some R. wallichi in the mix while waiting for my blyxa to arrive. still no luck in finding reasonably (cheap) priced UG. the wallichi was in shawdy shape, but is showing vibrant red growth at the tips
